1.Have the right tools and replacement screen on hand. 

Apart from experience,you need tools to make the screen replacement.There are many cell phone replacement and repair tools for sale on the internet, you can buy them online. Tools include: Screwdriver / Opening Picks Set / Suction Cups / Spudger / Tweezers / Blade (if your phone screen shattered severely, broken into a spider web, then it is recommended to buy a blade).You want to replace you broken screen,so the important step is you need to buy a replacement screen.You can buy it online or on a phone repair store.

2.Shutdown your phone.

Whether you are repairing an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or any other cell phone or tablet, you need to power off your phone. Press the power button to turn off the iPhone, after that we will start to replace your phone screen.

3.Separate the screen from the phone.

Before separating screen panel from your phone, you can put tape over any broken areas. You will need to pry open your phone. The cracked glass surface may harm you during the prying process, so be careful. Using tape will make the process safer. Once the screen is loose, gently open it from the left side. The iPhone will open like a book, and there will be a bunch of wires on the right side of the screen.Make sure you don't put any additional pressure on the phone wires while handling the screen.

4.Remove the damaged screen.

Put the suction cup in the screen above the Home button,hold the iPhone in one hand, hold the suction cup in the other, and suck the screen out with force. You need to slowly pull the screen up, especially pay attention to the place where the circuit board is connected.Above the screen cable there is a panel, the panel has screws, we need to use a screwdriver to remove them one by one. Note that these screws are different sizes, so it is best to mark them well for later reassembly.

5.Be careful not to damage the delicate sensors.

The screen itself will have a few sensors attached to it. If these aren’t damaged, you should remove them from the screen and install them on your replacement screen.These sensors are held in place by a few screws and adhesive. Take the screws out and then heat the area in order to soften the adhesive.Gently pull the sensors away from the screen and set them aside.Make sure to be gentle in the whole process because the phone components are very precise and delicate,you may make it worse if you are careless.

6.Replace the damaged screen.

Connect the connecting cables on the new screen to the circuit board of the cell phone.Reinstall the screws we removed before. Put the screen into the phone.

7.Test the screen

At this point we have completed the replacement. Next we need to test whether the new screen can work properly.Make a phone call and check if the handset side is normal.Type on the screen and check if there are dead spots.Check if the speaker is working properly.Make a call and place your hand over the distance sensor to check if the screen goes dark.Check the front sensor to make sure it is working properly.Check the Home button by clicking and double clicking.If everything is working properly, then congratulations, you made it!
