Instead of using expensive HDMI cables, your existing CAT 5E/6 cables/sockets can be used to perform advanced functions such as transmitting deep color (12-bit/color) video and digital audio with bandwidth up to 225MHz. An HDMI transmitter and receiver on a CAT 5E/6 extender is your HDMI extension tool. An HDMI extender on a CAT 5E/6 cable also supports IR retransmission, so you can use the HDMI extender to control sources up to 200 meters away.
